The Beastmaster
The Beastmaster was released in 1982 staring Marc Singer as Dar. This is one of those classic movies you have to see if you haven’t already. This is one of my all time fantasy films. Dar who is taken at birth and ends up being raised in a small farming village, when his people are slaughtered by the Jun horde, an evil ruthless bunch who kill and steal.
Dar the lone survivor plans his revenge on the Juns, and along the way he befriends a hawk, a tiger, and 2 ferrets, he is able to communicate with the animals through a telepathic type communication where he can see what they see. It’s an interesting adventure as he travels to seek his revenge on those who killed his adoptive family. He runs into some strange witches and mystical creatures along the way to planning his ultimate revenge. One of the strangest creatures he runs into is a beautiful slave girl. (that was a joke about the girl being the strangest creature LOL)
It was just one of those classics that I keep on the shelf and watch from time to time. The story was strong and the revenge plot was just one of those never give up battles. There are a few other characters and surprises in the story so If you’ve never watched it I suggest doing so. This goes down as one of my all time favorite Movies.
